A very pleasant and friendly village pub serving a decent pint. Comfortable bar with an open log fire in winter. The same landlord and landlady for at least the eight years I have been visiting keep a close eye on things and run an excellent pub. Separate dining room with excellent meals, which can also be enjoyed in the bar if you prefer. Takeaway pizza if your peckish when you leave. Pub: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The food at The Patten Arms has been excellent for many years and often has something a little different on offer, I remember roast Wood Pidgeon which was excellent. In April we went on a Sunday evening and two of us selected from the Sunday Lunch menu which offers two or three courses, at a very good price, and one from the specials board. The food was excellent, the presentation was outstanding and the service faultless, prices are reasonable with Sunday Lunch a real bargain. Restaurant: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
