The Bellflower pub restaurant Garstang, Lancashire

Garstang’s newest pub, formerly The Flag. The Bellflower Garstang has been extensively refurbished with new outside area, children’s play area and new car park. The inside , which was always nice has also been given a complete makeover and now has a play area for under fives and much more seating than previously. All in all it is a very nice place, although the smell of new wood is very present.

Dining will obviously be a popular thing here with the two for one meal offer, you buy two meals and the cheapest one is free. Checking the prices they didn’t look too expensive, two people could eat for less than a tenner although most meals are just over a tenner still inexpensive for two to dine. The children’s menu is not in the two for one offer but families will still find this inexpensive and the pub is definitely family friendly, the kids will love it. Patten Arms Winmarleigh, Lancashire

Live televised sport. Darts. Cask Ales, guest beers. Food separate dining room. A very pleasant and friendly Lancashire village pub, two miles from Garstang, serving a decent pint. Comfortable bar with an open log fire in winter. The same landlord and landlady for at least the nine years I have been visiting, keep a close eye on things and run an excellent pub. Separate dining room with excellent meals, which can also be enjoyed in the bar if you prefer. Pub: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The food at The Patten Arms has been excellent for many years and often has something a little different on offer, I remember roast Wood Pigeon which was excellent. In April we went on a Sunday evening and two of us selected from the Sunday Lunch menu which offers two or three courses, at a very good price, and one from the specials board. The food was excellent, the presentation was outstanding and the service faultless, prices are reasonable with Sunday Lunch a real bargain. Restaurant: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
