Garstang Arts and Music Festival has been successfully established as an annual event in Garstang for many years. The festival takes place at the end of August each year and runs for the 10 days prior to ending on Bank Holiday Monday.
The dates for the 24th annual Garstang Arts and Music Festival, are Saturday August 18th to Monday August 27th. With a packed programme of events catering for all tastes and ages, kicking off on Saturday 18th with our ever-popular ‘Town Criers’ competition. After parading around the town in all their finery, the criers, along with their consorts, will compete to win the coveted title of ‘Best Town Crier’ in a colourful and amusing display of this old, very English tradition.
Other events throughout the festival include a very talented male voice choir, wine tasting, opera, and fold music, and not forgetting the annual ‘Garstang Lecture’ – always a sell out event!
You can pick up a programme from the Visit Garstang Centre, Cherestanc Square, Garstang (Front of Booths), or download a full programme of events (PDF) hrere.
